Can I stay anonymous?

Yes. Your name and contact details are optional. You can send footage without telling us who you are, and nothing on this site requires them.

Will my footage be posted publicly?

No. Submissions are never published, posted to social media, or shown publicly on this website.

Who can see what I send?

Lizy's family, and the people they authorize to assist them. The family may also give what you send to investigators, and to others as described under "Permission you give" below.

Will someone contact me?

Only if you choose to give us your contact details. If the family provides your footage to investigators, investigators may also contact you.

Do I need an account?

No. Nothing is required except the file itself.

Is this an official police page?

No. This website is run by the family of Lizy Thomas. It is not operated by, and is not affiliated with, any law enforcement agency or government body.

Permission you give

By submitting footage, photographs, or information through this website, you give the family of Lizy Thomas and their authorized representatives permission to store, review, copy, and use what you submit in connection with understanding and investigating her death, and to disclose it — at the family's discretion and without further notice to you — to law enforcement, investigators, attorneys, insurers, technical experts, and any court or official proceeding.

You confirm that the material is yours to share, or that you are otherwise permitted to share it.

This permission is given without charge and continues for as long as the family requires it for these purposes. The family is under no obligation to use, review, or return any submission.

You may ask the family to stop using your submission at any time. Because material may already have been provided to investigators, or may be required to be preserved as evidence, the family cannot guarantee that a submission can be withdrawn.

If you are under 18, please ask a parent or guardian before sending anything.

Phone calls and text messages

Giving us your phone number is optional, and nothing on this site depends on it.

If you do give us your number, you agree that Lizy's family and their authorized representatives may contact you by phone call and by text message about your submission — for example to ask a question about your footage, to confirm what was received, or to arrange another way to send a file.

We will not use your number for anything else. We do not send marketing, fundraising, promotional, or bulk announcement messages.

Message frequency varies and will be occasional. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to stop messages, or HELP for help. You may also ask us to stop by replying in your own words, by calling us, or by emailing us — any reasonable request will be honored, and no later than 10 business days after we receive it. Asking us to stop texting also stops calls. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

How submissions are kept

Submissions are stored privately and are not publicly accessible. Access is limited to the family and those they authorize.

Because a submission may become part of an investigation or legal proceeding, there is no automatic deletion schedule, and copies that have already been shared or retained may not be able to be removed.

Limited technical records of visits and uploads are kept, including the network address your device connects from. These records help keep the service secure, prevent misuse, and let the family see how many people the appeal is reaching.

The map on the request page

The request page shows a map from Google. When that map loads, Google receives your IP address and basic information about your browser, the same as if you had opened Google Maps yourself.

Nothing you type and no file you send is shared with Google. What you send goes to Lizy's family and the people who run this site for them, and the family may share it with investigators as described above.
